Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) has joined hands with the Kuwait Blind Association to organize a series of summer sport activities for the visually impaired. The event will take place at the Association’s premises on Sunday 7th August and will host a week-long sporting championship with a wide variety of activities and prizes for participants to enjoy.
Mr. Fawzy Al Thunayan - GM Board Affairs at ABK said: “It is our pleasure to sponsor the Kuwait Blind Association sports initiative, as it falls in line with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focus for 2016, which aims to support individuals with special needs, to raise awareness of the challenges they face and encourage social equality across the society”.
The Summer Championship for the Visually Impaired will offer swimming for men and women, goalball for men and a table tennis tournament with categories for male and female players. Winners in each category will receive cash prizes, as well as medals and trophies.
