12 November 2019
sponsored an arts and crafts exhibition, spearheaded by the Kuwait Society for Follow Up Issues of Disabled People (KSFUIDP). This is the first of a series of planned events taking place this November, focusing on shedding light on the key role played by society in nurturing the talent and capabilities of special needs individuals.
The exhibition, which took place in the open-air garden of Discovery Mall, saw a host of talented individuals showcase their artwork to the general public. The community got the opportunity to interact with the students, their families, and the community.
The value of an active community was further affirmed by the participation of ten volunteer groups who supported the KSFUIDP on the day. The event was held ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which has been observed annually on 3rd December. This year’s theme focuses on empowering persons with disabilities for inclusive, equitable and sustainable development as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 2030 Agenda pledges to “leave no one behind”.
ABK is committed to Kuwait and the community and continues to drive inclusivity and empowerment across the country with a determination in supporting inclusive and sustainable development.
