1. How does Samsung Pay work?

Samsung Pay uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to make contactless mobile payments on any POS terminal which is (NFC) enabled.
2. How do I make Point Of Sale (POS) purchases with Samsung Pay?

  • Initiate Samsung Pay by either swiping-up from the home button or opening the Samsung Pay app from the home screen.
  • Select the card you want to pay with by swiping left or right.
  • Verify your fingerprint or PIN and touch your phone to either the card reader or NFC reader to complete the transaction.
3. Can Samsung Pay make online purchases?

Online payment gateway integration is still under process to enable Samsung Pay for online transactions in Kuwait.
4. How will I know a transaction was successful?

After completing a payment using Samsung Pay, payment confirmation will be displayed on your mobile screen. Additionally, you will continue to receive transaction alerts through SMS on your registered mobile number with ABK.
5. How can I cancel a payment made using Samsung Pay?

Canceling a payment made with Samsung Pay is the same as a physical card. The exact process will depend on the policies of ABK, and the merchant you made a purchase from. Please call Ahlan Ahli 1899899 for any disputes.
6. How is my default payment card in Samsung Pay determined?

There is no "default" card in Samsung Pay When you open the app or activate the Simple Pay feature by swiping up from the Home Key on supported screens, the first card displayed is either the last card you registered or the last card you viewed or used. Swipe left or right to select an ABK card.
7. How can I keep track of purchases I've made with Samsung Pay?

  • Samsung Pay shows last 10 purchases.
  • Open Samsung Pay
  • Choose the card
  • At the bottom, you may see last purchases.
Additionally, you can always check your ABK statements for the full list of transactions.
8. What about supplementary cards? Can I enroll the card in Samsung Pay on another mobile?

Yes, you can. If you have a compatible device, you can enroll a Supplementary Card on the device. Please note that AUTH CODE will be sent to Primary Cardholder's registered mobile number and you need to enter this code to enroll the Supplementary Card. If you have any issues while enrolling the card, please call Ahlan Ahli 1899899.
9. Is SAMSUNG Pay secure?

Samsung Pay does not store the account or Card numbers on the device, instead using tokenization for transactions. Each time a purchase is made, the phone sends two pieces of data to the payment terminal:
The 1st is a 16 digit token that represents the Credit or Debit card number, while the 2nd is a one-time code generated by the phone’s encryption key.
10. How is Samsung Pay secure?

  • Biometric Authentication: Transactions are authorized with your fingerprint. This means that you are in control of each payment transaction made
  • Samsung Knox that monitors for vulnerabilities on your phone. If your phone is ever compromised, your card information is still safely encrypted in a separate, secure data vault
  • Tokenization: Transactions use random tokens instead of your card number, which means your information isn’t shared when you shop and your and your details stay safe
11. Does Samsung Pay have access to my bank accounts?

No. Samsung Pay does not have access to your bank accounts.
12. Does Samsung Pay store my personal/payment information on a server or my device?

No. Samsung does not store your personal/payment information on a Samsung server or the device.
Samsung Pay does not change the way your payment information is stored or handled when you make purchases.
Only a device-specific Token, which is used to replace your sensitive payment information, is stored on the device.
13. Will my Samsung Pay information still be on my device if it is formatted?

No. Formatting your device will remove all payment cards registered to your device.
14. What should I do if I sell/give away my device or upgrade to a newer model?

All data on your phone should be deleted before selling/giving away your mobile. You should also delete all cards you have added to Samsung Pay.
15. Can I continue to use my physical payment card if I disable Samsung Pay or remove the digital equivalent on Samsung Pay?

Yes. When you disable Samsung Pay or remove a registered card, you are only suspending the token, or digital card number that has been assigned to your device for that card. If you wish to suspend you physical card, please contact Ahlan Ahli 1899899 for assistance. You can add your credit and debit cards back into Samsung Pay at any time.
16. Will I still earn Skyward Miles or Points on my card when I pay with Samsung Pay?

You will get all the benefits and rewards that your Debit, Credit or Pre paid Card currently provides when you pay with Samsung Pay.
17. Can I delete my Card from Samsung Pay app?

Yes, you can delete your ABK card from SAMUNG Pay app by selecting the Card and clicking on “More” in the upper right corner of the screen. Select “Delete” to remove the Card and authenticate the request either with your fingerprint or device PIN.
18. Can I configure Samsung Pay on multiple devices?

Yes, you can configure up to 10 devices and use Samsung Pay.
19. Are there any charges for Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay is currently free of charge.
20. What should I do if I lose my ABK Debit, Credit or Pre paid card?

If you lose your ABK card, you should directly call ABK on 1899899 to stop/cancel the physical ABK Debit, Credit or Pre paid card.
21. What happens when I stop/cancel my ABK Debit, Credit or Pre paid card?

If you lose your physical ABK card, once you have contacted ABK to cancel it, you won’t be able to use it within Samsung Pay.
22. What happens when I replace my ABK Debit, Credit or Pre paid card?

Currently you need to add your new ABK card on Samsung Pay.
23. What should I do if I lose my Samsung phone?

If you lose your phone, you should directly call ABK on 1899899 to deactivate the physical or the virtual card on your Samsung Pay application.
Payments can’t be made from your phone without being authorized via fingerprint, PIN, or Iris scan.
In addition to that, you can also visit https://findmymobile.samsung.com/m and disable Samsung Pay and lock your device remotely.
