Further reinforcing its supporting role to the Kuwait community
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) recently announced its sponsorship of the National Campaign for Life Saving Training; a program initiated by the Ministry of Health, under the auspices of H.E. the Minister of Health Dr. Ali Al-Obaidy. The program aims to educate the public on first aid, and equip individuals with the necessary responses in case of an emergency. The program was launched in May, 2012 with 43 staff from ABK attending.
Mr. Fawzy Al Thunayan, General Manager of Board Affairs at ABK presented a sponsorship donation to Dr. Jamal Al Harbi, Assistant Under - Secretary for Supporting Medical Services Affairs, in full recognition of the Bank’s support and reiterated the importance of First Aid education.
ABK is committed to supporting initiatives such as these by joining hands with the Ministry of Health to drive forward a significant program that will benefit so many individuals and bring great value to the community as a whole.
The program aims to educate 10% of the Kuwaiti public on first aid practices over a span of ten years. The program will also focus on educating, training and certifying employees working across various sectors in Kuwait, to ensure the program has attained maximum reach.
