In line with its efforts to promote a financial culture rich with information and knowledge, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) pledges its continuous support to the Diraya campaign launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and Kuwait Banking Association (KBA).
The nationwide campaign, running for the second consecutive year, is designed to spread financial awareness about the banking sector’s role and shed light on how customers can benefit from banks’ diverse offerings. It has an educational focus on customers’ rights as well as various other topics including increasing awareness to avoid scams, fraud and cybercrimes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Loai Muqames, CEO of ABK – Kuwait said: “At ABK, we fully and strongly believe in the Central Bank of Kuwait’s directives and efforts towards bolstering the country’s financial inclusion. The latest advancements and progress witnessed by the financial and banking industry has spurred the need for greater financial awareness and literacy. We believe that it is our responsibility as a Bank, to educate our customers and empower them to make the most of all the services available without compromising their security. We look forward to supporting this initiative to ensure our customers are equipped with the necessary information to safeguard their banking experience.”
In its first year, the campaign reached a broad segment of society, resulting in approximately 100 million views thanks to the collaboration between the various authorities and entities, including the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Interior, the Capital Markets Authority as well as local banks.
