Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) is pleased to announce that it now offers its customers the convenience of opening and managing a term deposit account digitally, either through eahli.com or through the ABK Mobile Banking app.
This new service reinforces ABK’s ‘Simpler Banking’ promise to our customers who increasingly want to be able to access their accounts and Bank services online and via mobile apps. Now, through these platforms customers are able to create all types of Kuwaiti Dinar term deposits in various maturity durations. Other features include the ability to add an additional number of days if the maturity falls on a non-working day, choose renewal options, and view the value of the expected interest.
Commenting on the Bank’s term deposits, Johair Marafi, Acting General Manager of Retail Banking at ABK said, “Whether you are saving for a special occasion or looking for a stable place to grow your savings, ABK offers convenient, efficient products and solutions for our customers. Term deposits provide a flexible solution designed to securely maximize customers’ returns.”
Johair Marafi also noted, “As ABK remains strongly committed to enhancing our services and offerings, we launched the term deposit account digitally. Now our customers can manage their term deposits from the comfort of their homes. Both fixed term and guaranteed term deposit are available, and customers are able to modify the maturity dates or choose renewal options digitally. Some of ABK’s other digital services like cardless cash withdrawals help clients to withdraw cash without their debit cards. We also have Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) in strategic locations across Kuwait which enable our customers to conduct numerous transactions without needing to visit a branch. ”
ABK has been steadfast in ensuring its customers’ online experience is efficient and secure. Recently, the Bank announced the launch of its virtual assistant “Ask Sanad”, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven chatbot to service clients. This advanced service provides relevant and contextual responses to customer queries, allowing them to make transactions in the chat window of the mobile application.
ABK’s innovative chatbot offers customers yet another way to connect with the Bank in response to the health and safety measures prompted by COVID-19 as contactless transactions have accelerated the consumer shift towards using digital platforms to fulfil key banking requirements.
