Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) announced the conclusion of its Summer Student Development Program and honored the 13 participating students during a graduation ceremony that was held on Thursday 18 August 2016, at the Bank’s Learning & Development Unit in Hawally.
The Bank’s program was organized in partnership with the Lothan Youth Achievement Center (LOYAC) and the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP), both of which cooperated with ABK in the selection of the program participants who were national senior students of local universities and colleges.
The five-week long program included lectures, on-site assignments and team projects that provided a firsthand experience of a working environment and encouraged the understanding of team work. The program also raised awareness of the financial sector in general with a focus on the banking industry in Kuwait.
ABK is a supporter of education and youth, and through the Bank’s ABK Academy it has offered internship & training opportunities to senior students in local Universities and Colleges. The Bank will continue to collaborate with Kuwait’s major educational institutions to build on its active role and build further awareness of Kuwait’s finance sector.
