Building on its continuous support of education, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) recently announced its sponsorship of the British Academies International Arts (BAIA) and British Academies Sports (BAS) Carnival, which was held at the British School of Kuwait (BSK), on 24 September, 2016. The carnival was inaugurated by His Excellency Matthew Lodge, the British Ambassador to Kuwait, and Mrs. Vera Al Mutawa, founder of BSK.
The Carnival was held in an effort to highlight the importance of students and school activities, as part of the overall education process. The Banks support comes in line with its belief in the importance of education and development through activities and initiatives that raise awareness of Kuwait’s youth, and their need to engage in school related activities that in turn, instill a positive sense of belonging that will inevitably translate to commitment and hard work through their school years.
The Bank engaged with the students and attendees through the distribution of giveaways, adding to the excitement of the fun-filled ambiance featuring a series of fun activities such as performances, competitions, raffle draws, sports, and play areas to accommodate all age groups. The school opened its doors to its students, embassies of Kuwait and 3,000 invitees free of charge for a fun-filled day.
