To ensure constant engagement with its employees, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) recently hosted its Retail Banking World Class Day for staff. Held at the Salwa Al Sabah Ballroom, the event brought ABK’s staff together under one roof and provided an insight into the differing areas and responsibilities of Retail Banking.
This event allowed employees to exchange their opinions freely and learn about different areas within retail, through fun activities. Designed as an exhibition with each stand representing a different segment of retail, employees had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the objectives and practices of each unit. In addition, senior employees from other business areas were present and shared their professional experiences with attendees.
Commenting on the activity, Stewart Lockie, GM Retail Banking at ABK said: “Employee engagement is essential to ensure staff are given the platform to provide feedback. We chose to create a less formal and relaxed environment to allow them to be more forthcoming. We did not want to make it seem like a normal business meeting, hence we chose the exhibition format. We are proud of our employee’s level of engagement, dedication and enthusiasm. It is always a pleasure to see employees strive to give the job all that they have”.
