Alfouz Draw Account

1. What is the Alfouz draw account?

The Alfouz draw account is a non-interest-bearing savings account that offers cash prizes as a monthly salary-based payout for winners.

2. What are the Alfouz prizes?

• Weekly Draws: KD 1,000 monthly salary for 12 months with a total of KD 12,000
• Monthly Draws: KD 2,000 monthly salary for 12 months with a total of KD 24,000
• Quarterly Draws: KD 3,000 monthly salary for 36 months with a total of KD 108,000
• Semi-Annual Draws: KD 5,000 monthly salary for 60 months with a total of KD 300,000
• Annual Draws: KD 5,000 monthly salary for 120 months with a total of KD 600,000

3. Who can open an Alfouz draw account?
  • Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis
  • Individuals only

4. What is the minimum opening balance?

To be eligible to enter the draw, the minimum opening balance is KD 200.

5. How are the entries calculated for Alfouz draws?
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly draws: Entries are based on the average monthly balance of the previous month.
  • Semi-annual and annual draws: Chances are cumulative based on the average balances held during the preceding months of the year.
  • Every KD 10 in the account is equal to 1 entry.

6. Is there a maximum cap for draw entries?

Yes, draw entries are capped at 100,000 entries per account.

7. What is the loyalty benefit in the Alfouz draws?

All entries for prior months in the draw schedule are aggregated in the semi-annual and annual draws.

8. How will the prize be paid to the winner?

The Bank will credit the prize amount monthly into the customer's Alfouz draw account according to the value and duration of the prize.

9. Am I eligible to win again if I win in any of the draws?
  • Winners of the mega draws (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) will be excluded from future mega draws but will remain eligible to enter the weekly and monthly draws after 90 days.

  • Winners of the weekly and monthly draws will be exempted from draws for the next 90 days but will remain eligible to enter the mega draws (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual draws).

  • Previous draw winners with total cumulative winnings exceeding KD 50,000 at any time will not be eligible for any draw entries for a period of 12 months starting from the date of the most recent win.

10. If the account becomes dormant, will the customer still be eligible to enter the Alfouz draws?

Yes, the customer will still be eligible to enter the Alfouz draws.

11. How can I open an Alfouz draw account?
  • ABK customers can easily open an Alfouz draw account through Online Banking or the ABK mobile app.
  • Interested customers may also visit their nearest branch or call Ahlan Ahli 1899899 for assistance.
12. Is there a minimum balance to maintain in the account?

A minimum balance of KD 200 needs to be maintained in the Alfouz draw account. If the minimum balance falls below KD 200, a fee of KD 2 will be charged.

13. Do I get a debit card with the Alfouz draw account?

Yes, a debit card is issued with an Alfouz draw account.

14. Can I transfer my salary to the Alfouz draw account?

No, salary transfers are not permitted in the Alfouz draw account.

15. What has been implemented in terms of draw resumptions?
  • External auditors have been appointed across all banks in Kuwait to oversee the draw process.
  • Enhanced controls have been implemented to minimize winner repetition.
  • The system has been developed to ensure full randomness, exclusions, and complete transparency.
16. What are the exclusions for the back-dated draws (dated April 2025 – March 2026)?
  • Mega draw winners (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual draws) will be exempted from any future mega draws for period of 90 days. However, they will still be eligible to enter the weekly and monthly draws.

  • Previous draw winners with total cumulative winnings that exceed KD 50,000 at any time will not be eligible for any draw entries for a period of 12 months starting from the date of their most recent win.
17. Will I enter the back-dated draws if I have closed my account?

Yes, you will be eligible to enter the back-dated draws for periods between April 2025 – March 2026 as long as you meet the rules and draw criteria of the draws during that draw month.

18. Are there any exclusions from not entering the back-dated draw?

Yes, only fraud nationality withdrawals will be excluded from all back-dated and future draws.

19. What should I do if I wins in the back-dated draws and my account was closed?

You are required to visit the branch and re-open an Alfouz draw account in order to have your draw prize credited into the account.
