Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

CSR is a long-term strategy that continuously evolves to help make a positive impact. Driven by our mission to consistently provide experiences that simplify and enrich people’s lives, we work to build strong relationships with the communities around us. Such relationships are established and maintained through our strategic CSR activities, awareness campaigns, volunteering, and ongoing communication.

As a bank that seeks to create a legacy, impact is important to us. Being a leading Kuwaiti bank with regional presence places us in a position to do so beyond national borders. To us, creating societal impact is simultaneously core to responsible management and a key lever to influence sustainable business outcomes. Through responsible banking, including contributions to the communities in which we do business, ABK maintains a good reputation and addresses societal needs. ABK recognizes the interdependent relationship we have with our surrounding communities and how supporting the local community often has a positive effect on employee morale, society, and ultimately our bottom line.

Through our CSR efforts, we engage with and influence a number of external stakeholder groups, with ranging levels of engagement based on the event category and type of audience. Each ABK entity customizes the focus of CSR initiatives and contributions based on strategic priorities and the emerging needs of their local communities.
